Candra earned her MSW from the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Social Work, where the bulk of her work centered around family and children's issues. She has extensive experience with HIV disease, terminal illness and incarcerated populations. Currently serving a diverse caseload in Bastrop and Lee counties, she is also pursuing further graduate studies exploring the link between early childhood prevention initiatives and incarceration rates.

A new Satellite office at Westlake United Methodist Church is expected to be open soon.
